Barefoot Books Review and Giveaway *Now Closed*

picture of a book with a girl in a wheelchair on the page

Oh look! A girl in a wheelchair!

I pretty much never do giveaways on this blog. Most of the time the things they offer aren’t a good fit for you guys, my readers. That’s why I was so excited when Leah of Barefoot Books contacted me about the company she works for–Barefoot Books.  Not just any old books, these are breath-taking kind that make the former educator in me sing with glee.Leah sent me several books to look over and they are gorgeous. Despite Charlie’s sometimes-stinky attitude toward books, I am a hard core book lover and hate for my child to have anything but the best. In my former life as a teacher I taught children with reading disabilities in one form or another for four of five years I taught. My shelves are jam-packed with books for every possible age.

This is a really long-winded way of saying–I know my books.  And these are good books. Like I said, though, I don’t usually do giveaways–gets in the way of all the me talk. Leah had me, though, when she mentioned that these book are fabulous for kids with low vision. Some parents have even reported that they’re the only books that their children respond to. So, yeah, I totally want you guys to have these books. Leafing through I see gorgeous pictures, appropriate text, and did I mention gorgeous pictures? Yeah, they’re really good. You can win one of your very own–it’s like shopping, but without the guilt!an open book

So, how to enter? The first way is to go to the Barefoot Books website and pick out which book you want to win. Let me know in the comments. For additional entries you can:

Leave a separate comment for each thing you do.

Please use a real email address when you comment–otherwise I can’t find you. Sorry, but they cannot ship to a P.O. Box. Contest closes at then end of the day (CST) on March 22nd.

**I am sorry, but this giveaway is now closed–will be back shortly with the winner’s name**
