Finding My Way

So.

I mentioned earlier that I had an idea for a business. I been looking into it, narrowing my focus, and the universe has sent me a couple of signs as well. I’m at the point where I feel like I need to explore this or I’ll always wonder what if.

There’s a problem, though.

I believe in this idea and think it’s really good. I believe in it so much that I don’t want to talk about it. It’s as if saying it out loud will jinx it or something.

I am so nervous. . . I hope that I can see this thing through.

  1. As someone who, five years ago, started up her own business with her husband, my suggestion would be to find SOMEONE or SEVERAL SOMEONES to talk to about it. It helped tremendously, even after several years of brainstorming, to give the concept some loft and to get feedback about our idea from friends and family. You know how to get a hold of me and I’m ALWAYS open to helping other lovely ladies become business owners…

Yeah–you can take anything you replace at your house to your local habitat humanity. If they can’t use it on a project (like if it won’t match or go), they can sell it in their resale store to raise money for supplies and stuff. They’ll take whatever you bring–also, the resale store is a good place to go if you’re looking for random stuff. They usually have flooring, doors, hardware, all sorts of stuff. It’s also a great place to take pain you don’t use.

Dig deep into every nook and cranny of this idea… I’m sure you’ll be able to pull it off!

  4. take paint you don’t use…not pain πŸ˜‰

  5. I am the same way about saying some things. Wonder why?

Anyhow, I am sure you will be great at whatever your venture is. You always put your best into everything. Just look at Charlie!

I never want to talk about stuff I really want to do, I feel like I jinx myself, too! However, I can’t wait to hear all about your idea!! You’re so creative, I’m sure it’s an awesome idea.

I have that same superstition, Katy. If I shared my idea online, I’d be looking for a piece of wood to knock-on – or use my head if I couldn’t find one.

    Go for it!!

Consider checking-out this blog: http://family-live-love-laugh.blogspot.com/. (not related to owning a business). Nice to hear from you again on my site. Barbara

  12. Sounds very interesting!! I hope it all goes well so I can hear what it is!! I’m totally like that though about stuff, some things I keep to myself for fear of jinxing them!!

  13. You are just shrouded in mystery, aren’t ya! Well, when you are ready to share, I can’t wait to hear all about it!
    Wishing you all the best!!

Sounds very interesting. Hope you have at least one or two confidants to run it by. Now you have me wondering…

  15. Ooooh! I’m excited to hear what it IS! But I have the business sense of a… I don’t know… toaster oven? So I won’t have a CLUE about the business end of things. I’m just interested.

  16. Well, I won’t ask, but I do hope you find someone knowledgeable to talk to, and I can’t wait to see your idea take off!
