The Beat Goes On

What She Wore: Still in my pjs, but I better get changed soon–Charlie’s OT is going to be here soon.

What She Ate: Vegetable soup. For dinner I think I’m having a Lean Cuisine BBQ pizza.

I decided that I need to make some lifestyle changes.

Basically, I need to put better stuff in my mouth.

I would say that I need to diet, but I know better than that. The minute I put myself on a diet I start craving enchiladas. Before I know it I’ve driven to McDonald’s for some chicken nuggets and I’m persuading my husband to take me out ot eat.

Diets do bad things to me. Plus, it’s not just about losing weight. I eat/drink a lot of crap and I don’t think that’s really good for you.

So, I’m making a few changes:

  1. No more chicken nuggets
  2. No more soda, even the diet stuff. I drink WAY too much of the stuff.
  3. No alcohol except on weekends.
  4. More water

I should be able to do this, right?

Absolutely, you can do it! And if you need a cheerleader I’ll break out some pom poms. :)

  4. I’ll join you, too.

  5. I gave up soda for lent and it really hasn’t been that bad. I’m drinking more crystal light, diet snapple and water.

I can relate. I totally need to reassess what I eat. I have been so stressed out that I KNOW I have been making really poor food choices. Thanks for stopping by and your kind words. I am sorry I was so grumpy when I commented the other night. I do remember the politics and juggling with the holidays, and it is no fun. I hope you have a blessed Eatster! It is Charlie’s first Easter, so you be sure to give him cute outfits to wear and specila yummy treats! Hug and kiss that boy from me.

  7. Ah…we all should be able to, right? And we are…but do we really want to? That, my dear friend, is the question. I always do well for a while…then I fall back to my chesseburger and coke needs…but then I can stop again for a month…weird.

You can most definitely do that!! I pretty much do it already, so if I can (and I’m pretty much the most unmotivated person ever) you can. After a few months of not drinking pop, you won’t even like it. I drink only water on a regular basis, and I don’t really even like pop anymore…it’s just too sweet. Weird, huh?
