Dearest Max

What She Wore: Red capris; white t-shirt; tennis shoes. I tried to look a little nicer today.

What She Ate: Ick. Stouffer’s Chinese beef and peppers over rice. I CANNOT wait til the weekend, so I can eat some real food.

I had every intention of writing this post as a letter to my cat. It was cute–I reminisced about the day I brought him home, the tiny apartment we lived in, and his cute, fluffy self.

Somewhere around paragraph two, however, it got a little forced. So I’ll just tell you about my cat’s latest shenangians and not force you to participate in what was rapidly becoming either a Freshman creative writing assignment or a bad country song.

Adding to his repetoire of knocking over water glasses, opening closed doors, and toe biting, Max pulled an all new stunt.
After using the–ahem–facilities, he then proceeded to kick his–er–deposit onto the carpet. Then, he walked through it leaving footprints all over the house. The Hub was on his hands and knees for about half an hour cleaning up and muttering something about “sit prints.”

All my kids are talented–even the furry ones.

  1. Cute pictures!!

Too funny about the cat, I have one who sounds about the same, I love the guy but he also can be so annoying!! He’s funny though because he thinks he is a dog sometimes, like, if he hears someone knock at the door, or if the door just opens (SJI comes in), he will growl and run towards the door. As if he’s really gonna be able to stop an intruder!! I laugh every time!

  2. and all your boys are handsome! Manny sends his meows to Max.

  3. Love the pics of your WHOLE family….including Max!!

I asked my doc and he said that when people have all boys in the family it’s just a coincidence. He said all guys pretty much 50/50 in the sperm department….so that’s a little reassuring.

I think I’ve asked you this before, how many kids do you want?

  4. Max looks like he is a stud.

PS I love a self-portrait!! Y’all are so stinkin’ cute!

    Happy Friday girl!

    You guys are too cute!

Hopefully Max doesn’t keep up his trick too often. That would get old in a hurry. :)

  7. Heya chica,

I’ve been reading you, keeping up, but I just seem to be so darn busy. My daughter had the pukey flu again this week, I’m so tired of cleaning up puke this winter. At times commenting is a chore but reading is an escape!

What is this convo. on Disney? We’re going for spring break, bleah, I’m not really a fan but the girl has never been. So commercial and EXPENSIVE! I am although looking forward to seeing California.

  8. loving the family pic…

*~* :o) always remember to be happy… :o) because you never know who is falling in love with your smile… :o) *~*

  9. Yeah, soooo not happy with my furry “kids” this week–although it doesn’t seem like it’s any different from other weeks, but trust me–they do have their good moments every now and again, just so I remember that I do in fact, love them…but wow. That cat is fluffy–don’t you have dogs, too? Are they friends?
Charlie’s head looks so completely fine in the 4 months after picture below–you can’t even tell he had surgery, at least not in the photo. You guys have such a great approach with him. Every time I read he seems to have progressed in some way, shape or form.
And the dine and dash thing–too hilarious! Hey, at least you paid.
