Day Five (of Twenty-Eight)

What She Wore: long-sleeve, ribbed tee, with a little V in the neckline; blue jeans; brown and white high heels with a poof on them. I’m not doing anything, so I might as well have good shoes, right? Well, I did check the mail.

Well, house arrest is still going OK. We did pay a visit to the neurologist who said that Charlie looks, “friggin‘ fabulous.” Let me tell you, the language changed a lot when I moved down here from Arkansas. I never heard so many doctors cursing till I got back to the Crescent City. I don’t mind.

I have also decided that online shopping can be the black hole of death. If you need a new rug for any part of your house, then do NOT go to this site: I think they have exactly one billion rugs on there. I have spent–no, wasted–two entire evenings on there. I enjoyed myself, though.

In other news, my very elderly grandfather is in the hospital with what looks like a stomach virus. It’s taking all the power I have not to complain about what a draining year this has been. I actually thought to myself, “well, I hope they took him to O______ because their ER was great.” I’m ranking ERs! Ok, looks like I slipped a little there. Generally, things are good. I’m going to stop complaining and go look at all of my cookbooks, which I recently rediscovered in a box.

Checking the mail in poofy shoes DOES count for something.
Yay for Charlie! “Friggin fabulous” never sounded so good. :)
I hope your grandfather feels better soon. Nearly everyone I know is sick with something.

  2. Gosh I’ve been trying to read up on your page and comment but I always end up having to leave it for something else past couple days! Charlie looks great, as usual. Not bad for a kid on house arrest…maybe because it’s turning out to be such a cool looking house! Love that entryway! And the shoes–that poof is just too cool. Have a friggin fabulous week and good luck scraping your ceiling!~Toni

  3. Let me guess…Oschner? Hmmm I wonder if I spelled it right. My oldest son had this eye problem and his G’ma would ONLY take him there to have it fixed. She’s one of those old Metarie (spelling?) sedate prom queens that still smokes veryvery skinny long menthol cigarettes. They did a good job by the way, his baby blues are perfect now.

Now I have hope that the Air Force will break my antique dresser that’s in my living room on our next pcs…I should be so lucky. The house is coming right along Katy, good job.

I suppose I’ll have to get my curse words out again, I’ve kind of trained myself not to say them since moving. I noticed people got offended in Chicago when I said motha-f’a, they’re so darned straight laced. Looks like I’ll be down on the last week of July-ish. Mark me on your calender!!

Those shoes seriously crack me up! I especially love that you’re hanging out in them around home.

I might have to keep that rug website in mind for when my mom builds her house. She’s going to need some rugs!

    Great news about Charlie!

Oh MY God!!!!!! I love those shoes!!!!!!!!
I thing the Frickin’ Fabulous is a highly technically word for vast improvement. I’ve heard it many times in the Animal Health industry…from me!!!!

Those are perfect way to show the shoes….if you aren’t willin’ to put them on your feet and go head over heels!

I am just now getting into the “Attractions” part of the book…I’ll let you know what I come up with!

  8. Haha, only YOU would be on “house arrest” and be wearing those shoes!!!! LOL!

I need rugs so I should check out that site, but most of the time I just forbid myself from going to sites like that!

  9. I’m am really enjoying picturing you checking the mail and reading cookbooks in those shoes. 😉
